Let's face the facts learning about your government and country isn't always the most exciting thing in this world. This is why the Danish Geodata Agency recreated the entire country of Denmark in 1:1 scale inside of Minecraft to make learning a bit more enjoyable. Unfortunately the Internet had its own agenda, and decided to teach the Danes a lesson about ... we don't even know. Why can't the world have nice things?
See, despite the DGA shutting off dynamite from the map they created that used more than 4 trillion blocks and 1 terabyte of information - intrepid Minecraft users discovered that the in-game carts that carried dynamite were still active. This exploit allowed players to destroy areas in virtual Denmark, placing American flags or tanks on top of them. Classy.
DGA spokesperson Chris Hammeken told UK news site The Register that only minor areas were affected and that the DGA will not reboot the map. "We believe that this is a characteristic of playing Minecraft - elements are broken down and new ones are being made," Hammeken said. minecraft servers "Therefore we won't restart the game of Denmark in Minecraft. We may occasionally rebuild minor areas, when buildings have been removed and nothing is being built.
