Minecraft now has a new launcher for PC, accessible to everyone who doesn't have an Omni setup - and those who do have one. The new launcher is required in order to play the game's most recent version, Minecraft 1.6 and any future updates. gservers The new interface is able to support multiple usernames within a Mojang account (although that feature isn’t yet enabled by Mojang) however, it does allow for multiple usernames.
The new system will update automatically without the need for manual updates and single-player content will be accessible offline. Players must be online for this to happen, or the launcher will attempt to connect to Minecraft servers.
