Minecraft Mobs List: all Neutral, Neutral, Passive and Tameable Mobs In Minecraft

There's a staggering number of mobs available in Minecraft as of 1.18 It's best to learn as much about them as possible to ensure that you deal with each one appropriately.

Below is the complete list of Minecraft mobs, animals, and creatures, starting with the humble Chicken, all the way to legendary monsters like the Ender Dragon and even upcoming mobs like Frogs, Allays and the Warden.

List of Minecraft mobs

Minecraft has come a long way since it first began life in the early 2010s. There are now 73 mobs in Minecraft and there are more to come in Minecraft 1.19. Every mob behaves and appears quite different from the other. Below I've listed every mob that is in the game, classified according to the degree to which they are neutral, passive or hostile to the player.

Passive mobs are mobs which will not attack the player even if they are attacked first. Most of these mobs are harmless animals that will run away when they are attacked, or at times, if approached. Below is the complete list of Passive mobs with lists of all breedable, tameable, and rideable passive mobs.

Axolotl - Bat - Cat - Chicken - Cod - Cow - Donkey - Fox - Glow Squid - Horse - Mooshroom -- Mule - Ocelot - Parrot - Pig - Piglin (baby) (baby) Polar Bear (baby) -- Pufferfish - Rabbit - Salmon - Sheep - Skeleton Horse - Snow Golem - Squid - Strider Tropical Fish Turtle Villager Wandering Trader Frog (upcoming mob, arriving with Minecraft 1.19 update) Allay (upcoming mob, arriving with Minecraft 1.19 update)

Breedable mobs

- Axolotl - Cat - Chicken - Cow Donkey - Fox Horse - Mooshroom and Ocelot - Pig - Sheep - Rabbit Skeleton Horse - Strider - Turtle Villager Mule - can be bred with horses and donkey, but cannot itself breed

Tameable mobs

- Cat - Donkey – Horse - Mule — Parrot Skeleton Horse Fox - Fox - not really tame but will "trustthe player" Ocelot Ocelot is not actually tame but will "trust the player

Rideable mobs

- Donkey - Horse - Pig - Mule - Skeleton Horse - Strider

Neutral mobs can be hostile or passive towards the player depending on the circumstance. MINECRAFT-SERVERS.CLOUD Below I have listed every mob's behavior when provoked to become hostile.

Bee - provoked when attacked or beehive damaged, attacks only once Cave Spider - hostile if in low light level Dolphin - provoked by being attacked Enderman - provoked if he is attacked or was viewed by Goat - randomly attacks nearby players Iron Golem - provoked when a villager in the vicinity is attacked Llama - provoked when attacked, only attacks once Piglin (adult) is provoked by any player not wearing 1+ Golden Armor pieces Panda provoked if attacked, only once Polar Bear (adult) - provoked when attacked or near a cub Spider hostile when in low light level Wolf - provoked if attacked Zombified Piglin provoked by attack

If they are able to, mobs of hostile players will attack players in their vicinity. There's just no reasoning with these kinds of mobs.

- Blaze - Chicken Jockey Creeper Drowned - Elder Guardian - Endermite - Evoker - Ghast - Guardian - Hoglin - Husk - Magma Cube - Phantom - Piglin Brute - Pillager - Ravager - Ravager Jockey - Shulker - Silverfish - Skeleton - Skeleton Horseman Slime - Spider Jockey Stray - Vex Vindicator - Witch - Wither Skeleton - Zoglin Zombie Zombie Villager Warden (upcoming mob, coming with Minecraft 1.19 update)

Minecraft boss mobs

There are currently two "boss mobs" in Minecraft. These are powerful creatures that have their own health bars and they're currently the most dangerous enemies in Minecraft apart from, of course the players you'll meet on PvP Minecraft servers.

Ender Dragon Wither

Whether you're facing terrifying monsters like Endermen and Guardians or just hostile animals like Polar Bears, you'll have to be ready to defend yourself against Minecraft many mobs.
