Minecraft's chat reporting and moderation features were unveiled last month and then saw community feedback decrying them for not being suited to the job. Mojang has said that they will continue to utilize the tools, despite some harsh criticisms and arguments.
MojangMeesh (the community manager on Reddit) posted a blog post explaining his decision. "We respect and appreciate your feedback, but it doesn't mean that feedback will always alter the design principles Mojang Studios adheres to, including the upcoming reporting system." While this comment may appear prickly in its own right but the second paragraph of the comment goes on to state that some players have been making comments whenever they feel a Mojang employee is using it to complain about the system. https://minecraftservers.sbs/ Harassment is a problem and is ironically the point of the reporting tools in the first place.
A lot of players, in response this comment, have said that they don't feel like they're being heard. They consider every Minecraft server as a safe space and shouldn't be moderated. This is so much the case that there are many ways to eliminate these features from your personal server, either by using Spigot or the CurseForge mod.
If there aren't any complaints or discussions regarding the features, it is natural for players to feel unhappy. Many players have been playing for more than a decade this game and, as adults, believe that they shouldn't be watched over. It is important to remember that Minecraft is a game that has numerous younger players. Therefore it is essential to have safety features in place to safeguard players. It doesn't seem as though anything is going to change anytime soon , however.
