Minecraft's Mangrove Restoration Project Map is all About Activism

Minecraft is an area where everything can be done. Because gamers use it in many different ways, it's among of the most impressive examples of what sandbox gaming could accomplish. It is used by some to make their favorite games, and others to create new features in in-game systems, while others simply love building amazing things.



There are also a lot of cool maps available to download including one of the most interesting of them is The Mangrove Restoration Project by Everbloom Games. Everbloom Games make a fair handful of maps however this one has an ecologically friendly look. The map challenges players to restore mangrove forests around the world and to plant new trees.

You should utilize a monitor to check on the CO2 levels as well. The more you can improve the climate of the planet by planting more trees, the more wildlife will return to the area. The map also contains an extensive array of unique wildlife, some beautiful-looking kayaks and a general focus on how we can positively affect our environment. While it's not as exciting as actually going out in the world and doing good, it's an excellent way to teach younger players about ways to try and make a difference for the planet.



You can download the map, which is called Rooted Together, right here. It's a major part of The Nature Conservancy partnership Mojang is involved in, which will see Mojang donating $200,000 to the cause, and will see some charity streams being announced later in the summer. It's refreshing to see that this initiative goes beyond an app to use.
