Minecraft and magic have mingled a few times recently. One of the most well-known of these magical mashups is Spellcraft, a free DLC that adds in over 20,000 different spells and some new ways to utilize them. The fan-made EpicSpellsPlugin, however, is worth keeping an eye on.
We wrote about the plugin in May. It was remarkable enough at the time, but it seems that the plugin has been developed at an impressive rate since the time we wrote about it. As Morica_ on Reddit writes in a post they've added the capability to cast spells without using commands. It's now enough to change the name of a stick to "Magic Wand", then sneak and draw symbols in the air.
The video shows off some of the spells and the ability to tie them as you see fit to different movements. It's a very mystical experience which is the vibe anything magical should strive for. XAJWM'S BLOG Morica_ talks about a couple of other possibilities for the plugin in various comments throughout the article, but there's one that really stands out.
When asked if it was possible to create custom spells Morica_ responded with "Yes! Although this probably won't be happening in the next few months, I want something like this. I also code the spells in a manner that they are mostly based on pre-made items." In essence, because the spells use things already in the game, it makes them a bit easier to customize. This could be a great method to live the Hogwarts Legacy without buying the game.
