THE KATIPUNAN (KKK)
1. What was the Propaganda Movement?
A. Founders
* Lopez Jaena, Rizal, and journalist Marcelo Del Pilar emerged as the three leading figures of the Propaganda Movement, and magazines, poetry, and pamplileteering flourished.
B. Aims/Objectives
* The Propagandists aims were the Reinstate the former representation of the Philippines in the Cortes General Spanish Pariliament.
C. Causes of failures
* The propaganda movement failed to secured the desire returns, especially the explosions of the friars are their replacement by Filipino secular priests and equality before the law between Spaniards and Filipinos.

2. How did the Dr. Jose Rizal organize the La Liza Filipina?
A. Objectives
* The objectives of La Liza Filipina was to build a new group that wanted to involve the people directly in the reform movement.
B. Elected Officers
* On the right of July 3,1892, at a house in Tondo, Rizal founded and inaugurated La Liza Filipina, elected were Ambrosio Salvador, President: Augustin de la Rosa, Fiscal; Bonifacio Arivalo, Treasurer; and Deodato Arellano, Secretary
C. Causes of failures
* The La Liga, however, failed in its objectives. Thus, Bonifacio, Valentin Diaz and Deodato Arellano organized the Katipunan. Arellano was chosen to be the head of the Supreme Council while Bonifacio was tasked to recruit members. Since the Katipunan was as secret society, it was difficult to recruit members.

3. When was Katipunan (KKK) formally organized?

* Deodato Arellano, Andres Bonifacio, Valentin Diaz, Ladislao Diwa, Jose Dizon and Teodoro Plata
B. Objective/Aims
* The foremost goal to the Katipunan was political, the seperation of the Philippines from Spain. Its members also recognized and performed a civic duty which was mutual assistance and the defense of the poor and the oppressed.

4. Describe the 3 branches of the Katipunan Government
* The aims and structure of the Katipunan: Andres Bonifacio laid down three primary objectives of the Katipunan
: civic, political, and moral.

5. As a political organization, why was the Katipunan government considered a national government?
* As a political organization, the objectives and direction of the Katipunan is a goal of national government

6. Why was Bonifacio recognized as the First President of the Philippines?
* Bonifacio is recognized as the First President of the Philippines when the Katipunan went into open revolt in august 1896. Bonifacio transformed it into a revolutionary government with him as president. Andres Bonifacio should be the first president because he was the one who founded Kataastaasang Kagalang-galang ng Katipunan ng mga anak ng Bayan (KKK).

7. Why was the Revolution of 1896 considered a national uprising?
* The Revolution of 1896 was able to satisfy the geographical dimension for it to be considered a national uprising
