Badlion is a hugely popular Minecraft launcher that bundles many things together, has been officially transferred to Linux with the Badlion Client 3.1 update.
What's the purpose of it? It provides a variety of extra features, including Optifine and their "Betterframes", anti-cheat (not in the Linux version) as well as various adjustments to FPS improvements, and quite many mods, including Minimap and ArmorStatus and PotionStatus. Crosshair, CPS, clicks per second, and many more. A lot of people use it, so it's good to have options on Linux officially like this.

They discussed the Linux release and said:
We are excited to announce today that the Badlion client is now accessible for Linux users. Our development team has been working hard for the past few months , trying to complete the last pieces of Linux support and fixing the compatibility issues we spoke about earlier in our announcement post regarding Linux last year. Just in time for BLC 3.1 the development team was able to finalize the Linux support.
We'd like to take a moment to express our gratitude to the Linux community for your constant patience with us over the last few months. While we're disappointed that the Linux version was not available in the final quarter of 2020, as we had hoped for We hope you're still excited to download the most feature-packed Minecraft version available at no cost!
It is available here. They offer it as an AppImage so it should run across most Linux distributions.
