Did you read the second paragraph? I made a HILARIOUS joke about building an extravagant home out of gold. Servers Well... turns out that a house made of gold might not even be as excessive and over the extravagant as one of Andy's recent builds.
"I recorded a livestream for over 20 hours during which I built my Bel Air mansion, 'The One'. We had much fun designing the most extravagant house that could be. It featured bowling lanes as well as a YouTube recording room. There were also tennis courts, a cinema, and even an air pad. It was very enjoyable however I ensured that the layout was logical, that the rooms had good views, and was practical for wealthy residents who resided there.
Luckily, you don't have to be stupidly rich to be able build modern structures in Minecraft! It may be difficult to start creating a modern-day home in Minecraft. For Creative Mode players, a block is only a few mouse clicks away, however, for a Survival player it could take hours to gather the necessary materials - and there are plenty required if you wish to get it right!
"A professional who is a good modern home builder will think about their taste, which means which blocks they'll use to build it," explains Andy. "My best advice is to stick with blocks such as white concrete, light grey concrete, and stone - or similar - for the walls.
