Glenshee

The Glenshee Ski Centre is an excellent place to learn whether you're a fan of snow sports. It's located in the Scottish Highlands. The ski area covers 2,000 acres and is located on either side the A93 road that connects Blairgowrie or Braemar. The area is also known by the Scottish Three Glens.

Glencoe Mountain

Glencoe Mountains are one the oldest peaks on earth. They are made of sedimentary strata which dates back to 380 million years ago. A glaciation event caused the rocks to sink, leaving the current formation. The pinnacled ridge, the Aonach Eagach (which links three peaks more than three thousand feet), is what makes this mountain distinctive.

Lecht

The Lecht ski resort in the Scottish Highlands offers a variety of activities suitable for the entire family. In the summer months, a lot of races in the summer are held at the ski area.

The Lecht ski resort, located in the Cairngorms is a smaller resort in Scotland, however it is a great place to ski. It has 18km of slopes as well as 12 elevators, making it ideal for those who are just beginning. It is an ideal place to start learning to ski. Beinn a'Chruiinnich is a mountain located in the Scottish Highlands. It is part of the Crianlarich group, which is comprised of seven munros. It is frequently climbing in conjunction with An Caisteal (a 1.5-kilometre-long peak that extends to the north west). Beinn a'Chruunnich which is 805m above sea level is best seen from the upper portion of Glen Falloch. Its name comes from the Scottish word "cloven hoof"


The Caledonian Forests of the Highlands are located in the Highlands. They have been there since the last glacier melted. Many remnants of these forests remain today, although they are mostly gone because of deforestation. These include the Scots pine and oak, as well as the birch.
