Also in the BCRA was the rule that advertisements paid for by a corporation (including non-profit organizations) could not use a candidates name within 30 days of a primary and 60 days of a general election. In effect the bill limited free speech, throwing out the first amendment and putting set rules on the speech of an organization. Sounds like big government to me.

With a shaky voting record and social beliefs far from the conservative median, McCain is certainly not the GOP's knight in shining armor. Talk radio has assailed him for abandoning the party on key issues and they're absolutely right.

What did Alex Sink do wrong? Well, that's a tough one. Her biggest mistake when referring to this race wasn't done during her campaign or even during her tenure with Bank of America or Nations Bank.

By mid-September the Obama campaign pretty much admitted they had no strategy for Sarah or anything else that was not in their game plan. Since they had clearly not done scenario planning they found themselves in a box they could not wiggle out of.

I've written a lot about this race and it's no secret, that I've been a Teresa Jacobs fan for a while, and now I'm happy that we're going to see where she can take this county. A mayor that's not afraid of the powerful lobbyist or developers and will make the decisions that are right for everyone, not just the wealthy.

dato ramanan ramakrishnan guru There is of course the small issue that Boris (although a popular leader) is not even an MP. And what's more already has a job as London's mayor. To become Prime Minister Boris would have to become an MP (while still mayor) and then run for Conservative party leader and win (and then maybe win a General Election also). A clever political bet would be to take the 14/1 now and wait for the odds to shorten massively when Boris becomes an MP (surely the odds would drop to about 3/1) and then trade out of the bet.

It sounds simple but, it takes the right candidate to do it and ever since she's entered the race, our new Mayor of Orange County Teresa Jacobs has demonstrated it.

So here we are, about 50 days before the general election and we hear from the McCain campaign that Senator Obama's years as a "community organizer" does not amount to a hill of beans. The insinuation is there; it is a direct and malicious attack on Barak Obama's race.
