EVE Online login and website servers went down just over an hour just a few minutes ago. A Twitter user who claims to be the representative of the group responsible for the major PSN outage earlier in the month claims credit for the EVE server downtime. According to the user, the DDOS is part of a series attacks today that have also shut down the Minecraft login servers as well as The Escapist magazine's website.
CCP posted an update on Facebook and Twitter saying that the issue is under investigation. "EVE Online and related services are currently unavailable and will be back as soon as is possible following an investigation into a few issues." CCP could not provide further information on the outage however, it advises players to keep an eye on the EVE Twitter and Facebook feeds for further updates when they become available.
