NEW YORK - September 8 2022, /PRNewswire/Record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. Israel welcomed 78,000 total travelers from the United States in July 2022 that's a 4 percent increase from 2019, and 71,000 total travelers from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from the year before.
Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. "The United States is our number one market for travel to Israel, and before the COVID-19 pandemic, we were celebrating record-breaking tourist numbers month after month; We're thrilled to witness such a positive shift and expect a continued upswing for the months and years to come."
נווה פריצקי Canada which isn't too far from the United States of America, is poised to surpass the number of tourists visiting Israel. It had 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6,000 in tourists in August.
Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada in the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are near our record numbers for the year 2019. We believe that this trend will continue as Canadians visit more countries.
In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists from around the world 969,600 of whom came from the United States, and since its official reopening to any traveler regardless of the status of their vaccination in May Israel has witnessed more than 600,400 US tourists.
