Brundidge Recalls the Sayings Of Her Son

Then, in March an excursion to Texas provided the boost she was seeking. Brundidge noticed that Brandon suddenly appeared confident while walking through the park where his family was staying. The normally quiet and shy child was now smiling and strutting around the RV park, speaking to strangers and honestly speaking, worrying his mother about his newfound bravado.

"I wondered what the heck is going on? Why suddenly is my son so courageous?" Brundidge told CNN.

"These are my fans," Brandon replied. "They know me. They love me.

Brundige was puzzled until her son stopped her and pointed at something.

"See? "It's my sign!" He said.

As she looked up, she was shocked to see a banner with the same slogan as dozens of bumper stickers, banners and other items in the area: "Let's Go Brandon."

Brundidge was recalled as telling her son, "That's no sign." "That's your book."

The book led to a charmed meeting

The meanings and roots of "Let's Go Brandon" aren't so positive.

The phrase is a swearing vow to F Joe Biden that was used during a broadcast of the NASCAR Sparks 300 race on October 2021. Talladega Superspeedway's crowd was chanting the chant. Kelli Stavast from NBC Sports was reportedly confused by the meaning of the phrase and claimed they were saying "Let’s go Brandon" to honor Brandon Brown, the race's winner.

"Let's go Brandon," explained

Conservative personalities immediately latched on to the misinterpretation, embedding it in the language of politics. Now, the words "Let's Go Brandon" are commonplace on the internet and on all kinds of conservative products.

Brandon Brundidge didn’t know any of this. For Brundidge, it was a source of encouragement.

Sheletta Brundidge's newest book, "Brandon Spots His Sign," was published in April, just a month of her son’s epiphany. With lots of hustle and help from her illustrator, Sheletta Brundidge also released the book "Brandon Spots His Sign" in April.

Brandon is anxious about participating in sports like dancing and swimming due to his autism. Then he spots "Let's Go Brandon" messages, which encourage Brandon to try new things. The back of the book also includes tips for encouraging those with autism.

The book attracted the attention of President Joe Biden, who sent Brandon an admiration letter. It also reached Brown who was the NASCAR driver who had no idea that he was helping to start the "Let's Go Brandon" trend. Brown was publicly ambivalent about the use of the phrase, but struggled to keep sponsors due to its controversial nature.

Brown's team reached to Brundidges to invite Brundidges to attend an forthcoming Xfinity Series event. Within just a few days, the Brundidges family was at Wisconsin's Road America track and were treated like VIPs. Brown was able to have Brundidge's logo printed on the hood of the Camaro.

The cover of the book is affixed to the Hood of Brown's race car.

"I know how it works. People invite you to events after you've earned some respect. But Brandon [Brown] was genuinely the sweetest guy," Brundidge said. "He could have been patient. He could have simply seen the book and thought, "That's cool." But he understood the urgency of creating awareness."

Brandon, the younger, even was able to push Brown's car, which he said was one of his favorite parts. This, along with getting to know a fellow Brandon, of course.

The boy also gave the driver an autistic pendant that was attached to an ornament that was matched to his own.

Brundidge said, "He hasn’t taken it off since."

The two Brandons display their autism awareness pendants.

For Brown the meeting, which was awe-inspiring, was an opportunity to reclaim the phrase he feels has become too sexist.

Brown stated that "To have it come through was like a breakthrough moment for us," after the Xfinity Series race. "This could be a positive thing. This can be positive. Minecraftservers.Buzz It doesn't need to be a cause for division or unpopular.

CNN has reached for NASCAR for comments.

The meeting has also sparked an interest in friendship

The new friendship between the Brandons didn't end after the race. Sheletta Brundidge claims that Brown calls or texts her son on a regular basis to talk about Minecraft or just check up on him.

Brandon's younger self has experienced a huge boost from the whole experience.

Brandon Brundidge was able to sign his name on Brown’s car.

"I have witnessed his confidence rise through the sky," Brundidge says. "Kids with autism are often picked last or left out. Most of the time it's because the other kids aren't able to comprehend why they behave the way they do."

She adds, "You just need to pray for a supportive system and for love." "And Brandon Brown has loved my child. He has shone a spotlight on autism throughout the world for all to be able to.

Brandon Brundidge is now a new friend with new fans, as well as stacks of new books to sign. Brandon said to CNN that it was hard work. His mother hopes this experience shows how much children with autism can be successful with encouragement and love.

Even in the midst of bitter division there are still miracles.
