Minetest is a open source, free and free of charge voxel game engine, inspired originally by Minecraft it's gradually becoming bigger and better with lots of games that are available for it. Minetest 5.4.0 is getting a new version. They've released their first release Candidate. This is a time when they need as many people to test it and ensure that it functions effectively.
Back when Minetest 5.0 released in 2019 it added an in-game UI to download mods and games. It worked, and they improved it a bit each time, but the main problem was the dependency system. A mod would require another, and the cycle continues. Finding them all was a hassle but maybe not anymore. The 5.4 release features a new UI flow for downloading mods and games, along with dependency resolution, an update all capabilities and download queues.
Simple and efficient, it works!
It really does make it a huge amount easier, and quicker too. This allows you to have your Minetest experience exactly as you'd like it. Do you want to squeeze every mod you can in the basic Minetest game? Try it. You might also want to play a whole conversion game. Minecraftservers.Buzz You can also try the whole game of conversion.
This might actually get me to play more Minetest!
