How do I spawn?

Lush Caves was the first cave biome that Axolotls were supposed to reproduce in. These new biomes won't be accessible in Minecraft until later in the year. So where are these fish that are fun to watch, and when will they be available?

If you don't have one, you can attach an axeolotl to a lead. However it will be destroyed in the event that the level of water is higher than five minutes.



How do you breed?



How to breed an axolotl in Minecraft



Axolotls can be breeding by using buckets of tropical fish. Minecraft servers When you have two adult axolotls, feed each using the tropical fish. You will see red hearts signalling that they've entered a love-mode. What a sweet gesture.



The baby axolotl will be given the color of its parents at random. It takes 20 minutes to mature. You can accelerate the process by using more exotic fish.

The blue axolotl is the rarest colour and has a 0.083% possibility of spawning naturally or through the breeding of adults with other colours. If you have your heart set on a blue axolotl you'll need patience and more luck than you would normally.



What they eat



What are the axolotls' diets?



Axolotls eat tropical fish, which are typically found in ocean biomes. If you're looking to feed an axolotl, you'll need a bucket of tropical fish rather than the single fish you've previously caught.



Tropical fish are very fearful and can be difficult to capture in a bucket. This is why patience is important. It's worth checking with the Wandering Trader to find out whether they have a bucket of tropical fish for auction.



Combat



Are axolotls able to attack other mobs with their axes?



These adorable creatures aren’t hostile to players but they will take on sea-based threats. They will leave dolphins and turtles to their own devices, but they'll take on any other threat.



They also have a unique defence mechanism: If an Axolotl suffers damage when submerged, it will be dead and then gain Regeneration. When an axolotl is killed by a mob, the Regeneration status effect could temporarily be transferred to a player.
