How does it work?



Roblox allows players to access the platform for free, and they can earn money by buying premium plans or Robux. Robux is a currency that can be used to purchase outfits and other items that can enhance the experience.



Users need to download the Roblox application on their laptops or desktop devices to play with the Lego-like characters which also let them join chat rooms and groups to play with other players.



Game developers must download the Roblox Studio extension to create games for the platform.



Creators can earn money by charging users to use their games and offering in-game purchases.



WHAT ARE THE SAFEGUARDS?



Roblox, like many other websites, has account control that allows parents to limit how their children interact with each one another. It also offer additional controls for parents, such as restricting the child's access to pre-tested, curated games.



IPO PLANS



For its stock market listing, Roblox is weighing a traditional IPO or direct listing sources have told Reuters.
