1) Mr Robot aka Elliot's dad is not real. Elliot has previously stated that his dad died when he was young however this seems to not be true. He may faked his death when Elliot was younger for reasons, e.g. to get away from Elliot's abusive mother. Mr Robot told Elliot this at some stage in the past however due to his Aspergic personality, he found this too hard to deal with and selectively forgot this. Either this or as a result of his morphine addiction, of which amnesia is a side effect, forgot it.
2) Mr Robot is made up by Elliot. Elliot's dad did die when he was young but maintained his memory in his head to the extent that he believes that he is a real person.
3) Elliot is not real. Less founded theory but a possibility as the mirror scene at the end where one of the faces of Elliot was Mr Robot (as well as Darlene, Angela, the masked guy and a few other people).
