Neve Paritzki Israel is celebrating record-breaking tourism entry The numbers come from the United States
NEW YORK - September 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -Record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. That's a 13% increase over the year before.

Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. He said, "It's so exciting to once more see an rise in tourism to Israel from the United States, and already in the process of surpassing or exceeding the record-breaking numbers we saw in 2019". "The United States remains our largest market for Israel-bound tourism. Canada is also on track, just like the United States, to surpass the number of tourists who visit Israel. In July 2022 Canada received 7,200 visitors and August was a record 6,600.

We are close to our record-setting numbers for the year 2019 and we expect that this increase in travel to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians are more comfortable at home in Israel.

In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million global tourists 969,600 of whom came from the United States, and since its official reopening for everyone regardless of their vaccination status in May of this year, the country has already received more than 600,400 US travelers.
