How to Install FiveM Game Server On Ubuntu 20.0

FiveM is an online multiplayer game server that lets you play multiplayer games on dedicated servers. It was specifically designed to foster creativity. With FiveM, you can make any game, including drifting, roleplay, racing, deathmatch, or something completely unique.

Prerequisites



- A fresh Ubuntu 20.04 VPS running on the Atlantic.Net Cloud Platform - A valid domain name that is pointed to your server's IP A root password configured on your server



Step 1 - Create Atlantic.Net Cloud Server



First, sign into your Atlantic.Net Cloud Server. Create your own server, selecting Ubuntu 20.04 as the operating system, with at minimum 2GB RAM. Connect to your Cloud Server via SSH, and login using the credentials shown at the top of the page.



Once you have logged into the Ubuntu 20.04 server you can run the following command. This will make sure that your base system is updated with the latest packages.



Step 2 - Install Required Dependencies



Before you begin, you'll have to install some dependencies in your server. The following command will install all of them:

Step 3 Install and configure FiveM



First create a directory to FiveM and download the latest version of FiveM in the directory:



After the download is complete you can extract the file by using the following command:



Next, you will need to download the CFX server data to your system. It is possible to download it by using the following command:
