Rick Scott is the new Governor of Florida and I know two things. He's got the ability to get the state back on its feet and secondly no one knows what to expect.

Her verdict came down along with a lot of other Democrats that ran great races but came up short. It just wasn't the year to be in the same party as the President and Rick Scott never missed an opportunity to let the voters know that.

Voters in the U.S. are just as smart (I think) as those in Canada, the U.K., Greece or wherever. We really could also 'get it' after having it hammered at us for only a month or so.
Hillary can be non committal about Iraqi Freedom, merely hinting she will bring the forces home, until the last month of the campaign. Then she can make it a promise; since there will still be over 100,000 American troops in Iraq by election day and the casualty numbers could easily be double what they are now.
Folks, I think this time (the November, 2008 election) the stakes are high enough that we need to rise above our "egocentric" and "ethnocentric" considerations. We need to look at what is best for the nation - and more broadly - what is best for the world. visit here would make us "worldcentric." It is a more evolved stance.
