Neve Paritzki Israel is celebrating record-breaking tourism entry Indicators from the United States
NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022/PRNewswire The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today new record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States for July 2022. This is a 4 percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This is an increase of 13% from the year before.

"It is thrilling to see yet another increase in tourist numbers to Israel from the United States, already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking numbers in 2019," said Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States remains our most important market for Israel-bound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak there was a record-breaking number of tourism numbers each month. We are delighted to see this positive shift and anticipate an upward trend that will continue for months, and possibly years.

Canada is poised to surpass Israel's tourist arrivals 7200 tourists are expected to visit Israel in July 2022 and 6,600 in August.

"We are near our record-setting numbers in 2019. We expect that this increase will continue as Canadians are more active in traveling abroad.

In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists from around the world, 969,600 of them coming from the United States, and since its official reopening for all travelers regardless of the status of their vaccination in May this year Israel has received over 600,400 US travelers.
