My son turned 9 yesterday! NINE!! !



A Minecraft Party was requested. The easiest way to make one of those is to look for other people's ideas! This is why I designed this board. The Sunny By Design had some great things. Here's my tribute to Minecraft Party..



Creeper juice. Those tiny Chubby drinks. Paper torn away and faces put on.



Torches= twisted pretzel sticks. I could have dipped them in chocolate melted in red, but time was running out. The slime balls were meant to be green jello squares. However, they were hidden in my fridge. The zombie boogies were actually wasabi peas!



Sorry for the blurry image below. I began making tiny TNT bundles, then decided not to, putting them in glasses instead. My favourite moment of the evening was when I declared," there are still lots of fruits and veggies left. I'm going to put them in your bag of loot even if you don't consume the fruits and vegetables now. There was a huge shush to the table and things were being eaten. :



THe cake was a brownie instead of cake. I decided to leave the edges uniced as the brownie would be more crumbly. Fluffy Boiled Frosting was the icing. It was not sweet at all. We made way too much for this cake so I made meringue puffs, and put them in the oven. Left those home too.



Here's something I learned: To make meringue, beat the egg whites, turn the oven on to 350 degrees, add them to the oven, then turn off the oven and let them cool down. It's simple.



The signs and grass leaves were made by Sizzix dies. The big, honkin' heavy ones. You can do it with the cuttlebug using a B plate on the bottom and on top of the die. The A plate is not recommended at all. To let loose some party spirit, we rented the local arena.



We go to the general skate at least once per week. 1pg.org This boy has made a huge leap over the past few weeks. He even looks like a skater now!

Loot bag time!



And the loot inside. I don't like loot bags that contain a lot of small things. So I gave hand made creeper cookies, which took two days, and a trip to the local bakery to ice (Thanks Flying Fox) as well as an album of Minecraft Parodies. I discovered the title on YouTube and gave it to my husband to make his magic. Then, some snacks.



It's over with the birthday celebration! (paper characters)



It was a blast!



Edited May 8: WOW y'all are probably on a reading frenzy for minecraft party ideas.What we wouldn't do for our children. As of now I've received close to 10,000 hits on this post. In my world, that's a amount. People have been pinning my creeper juice bottles like mad. Awesome. Take a look at my sidebar. Only 13 followers. It makes me feel uneasy.
