Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry From the USA
NEW YORK - September 8 2022, /PRNewswire/new record-breaking tourist arrivals to the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. The country welcomed 78,000 visitors from the United States for July 2022. This represents a 4% rise over 2019, and 71,000 visitors from the United States for August 2022. This is an increase of 13% from the year before.

"It is thrilling to see yet another increase in tourism to Israel from the United States, already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking numbers in 2019" stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States is our most important destination for our inbound tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we had record number of tourists from Israel entering Israel every month. We are thrilled to have witnessed such a positive shift, and we anticipate it to continue for many months and years."

Canada, not too far behind that of the United States of America, is on track for surpassing the tourist numbers to Israel. It had 7,200 visitors in July 2022 as well as 6,000 August.


"It is exciting to see how tourism from Canada to Israel is growing," said Gal Hana Consul and Director of Canada of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are not too far away from our record numbers for 2019 We are hoping that this growth in travel to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians remain at ease travelling abroad."

Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists from abroad in the year 2019, with 969.600 of them coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all travelers, regardless if they are immunized. The country has already hosted over 600,000.
