The Kerem Tunnel, the first cycle tunnel in Israel is now open in the Jerusalem Ring Path, a 42-kilometer cycling route that surrounds Jerusalem, Israel's capital city.

The tunnel runs along the Nahal Refaim-Emek Motza route. The tunnel's southern entry point can be found in Refaim Park below Ein Laban. While the northern entrance is located in Nahal Ein Kerem about half an hour from the Kerem junction.

On Thursday, Jerusalem and Heritage Minister Zeev Elkin, Mayor Michael, Avi Baleshnikov, Gihon chairman and hundreds of cyclists attended a ceremony to mark the opening of the tunnel's 2.1-kilometer-long length.
