Minecraft places a lot of emphasis on allowing the user's imagination to be free. It gives you near-unlimitable freedom to create whatever you want, play how you want and do whatever you would like to do. Minecraft is accessible to everyone, no matter their playstyle or preferences. This is also the case for a variety of tabletop RPGs, which is why we have not thought of merging them.
Thankfully, Algarith isn't us; they're built differently. Algarith is an active Redditor posted images of Yafran, an Elven City, which is part of their Minecraft DnD Game. This was to give players an idea of the area. It is filled with NPCs and hostile NPCs that were created using the Chisel and Bits mod. This mod lets players create basic blocks more accurately in the game for a natural and varied look. Algarith is able to manipulate various game pieces by following players while invisible.
"The idea is it'll be a little different to regular DnD because players can explore in real-time. I enjoy the idea of 3D battle maps that Minecraft is ideal for." It's a really unique idea. While the time and effort required to make a map suitable for the D&D campaign is certainly huge Algarith believes that it will be worth it since they'll be playing with friends on the other side of the world.
Something that's not available in Minecraft that Algareth mentions is a way to streamline the experience. just another wordpress site A mod that "includes dice rolling, pre-built miniatures character sheet integration, etc." could make the game simpler to use, and there's an opening there for any novice modders. We're worried about what happens if players go off the rails. Algarith has made plans for that.
