The Camera's Behavior is Different To Minecraft's

The first version, which was launched on December 2, 2009, was more limited than any other edition of Minecraft ever released to the general public, which included the pre-classic version accessible via the Minecraft Launcher. A version update on December 4, 2009, changed the controls and added broadscreen, more blocks and the ability to place and destroy blocks. [2]

In November 2014, the primary page hosting the game was deleted. Its archive is still accessible via the Wayback Machine. The executable can also be found on the Internet Archive.

On December 2, 2012 Notch released a JavaScript version of Minecraft 4K. The version doesn't allow you to move or look around but the camera or the world can move itself. There's also a blue water-like model that you can add to the other kinds of blocks. [3]

Gameplay[]

General[]

The player can place and remove blocks. The only block that a player can put in is grass, which is reminiscent of the very early builds of Minecraft internally known as RubyDung which can be downloaded from the Minecraft Launcher. Leaves do not decay.

World[]

The same 64x64x63-block world is generated every time the game is loaded. There are only two blocks in the game: grass block, air dirt block, stone, bricks and bricks. No mobs exist.

The first version of the game is only one type of block, that uses an XOR Fractal as texture.

An invisible wall protects the world and stops the player from fleeing similar to invisible bedrock, or an old world.

Controls[]

The player can move around with standard WASD controls and jump using Space.

Controls for left- and right-clicking are reversed from the traditional Minecraft controls; left-click places blocks and right-click destroys them. The middle-click can also place blocks in a bizarre manner. Moving the mouse rotates the camera "smoothly," similar to pressing F8 in Java Edition, and cannot be changed in this version.

The camera acts differently to Minecraft's. The camera only moves when the cursor moves away from the center of Minecraft's viewport. The cursor selects blocks in the world, but not the center of the viewport.

The game lacks any sort of menu of options or HUD.

Graphics[]

Because the game renders at a low resolution, the graphics appear pixelated. The game doesn't scale the resolution properly when running at higher resolution. This results in the game retaining its pixelated appearance. Block textures are identical to the ones used in Classic and Classic 0.30 (Creative), as Classic 0.30 (Creative) was the most modern version of Minecraft at the time. Most blocks appear noisier than their Minecraft counterparts, although some blocks, particularly stone, appear different. The absence of a skybox implies that the sky is black.

When you hover your cursor over an object, the outline of the block appears thick and white, in contrast to Minecraft's thin gray outline of block selection.

A screenshot showing the thick white outline of the block.

Another image illustrating the same.

Blocks[]

The original game only had one non-air block.

The second version stores block IDs using four bits. This provides 16 possible IDs. Most of them are filled in with slightly different-textured dirt.
