AMA Responses 01

I have received many responses to my Ask Me Anything request. Certain questions can be answered in a matter of minutes while others require a complete post.



Here are some of the possible answers that don't require their own blog:



Nicolas asked: What is the story behind your blog's logo?



There is no story to tell. I wanted a logo that was simple monogram with my initials, but I couldn't make the K & Q look good together. I engaged a Fiverr freelancer to create it.



Thelma asked What inspires you for the future?



In reality, not much. The world is about to shit mortgage rates are increasing, the world is getting hotter. We are running out of resources due to the rising population.

These are the reasons why my wife and me decided to adopt instead of having biological children. I am worried about how the next generation are going to cope.



Joel asked"I don't notice a lot of videogame talk at all in your posts. Are you not interested? What do you think about your children?



I'm not really interested in gaming - I don't have time. I play Sudoku and some Among Us on my phone occasionally but that's it. I do own an Xbox, but I don't recall the last time I turned it on.



I occasionally play Minecraft with my oldest son, but it's extremely rare as I don't get enough time to play these days.



Joel also asked: What hat would you wear for the rest of you life?



I don't really like hats; they don't suit me (I have a huge head). I suppose it would be my helmet for motorbikes, and I'd be on my bike all day.



Is that an act of cheating?



Dusan asked"I was wondering how do you balance your obligations between family, work and hobbies such as running Fosstodon. Are you a highly organized person or do you tend to be more unpredictable and need to make decisions on the fly?



On a related note, what kind of music do you listen to?



I am a very organised person. I don't like to let things go. I prefer to do the job. So I jump in and get going, if I make mistakes during the process I'm able to go back and rectify them.



Ultimately though, I have very little time. I try to make use of every moment I have, it's away from computers. It's usually outdoors activities like walking my dogs or riding my motorbikes. The ability to relax is vital.



With regards to music, I love all kinds of music. Classic rock, like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Toto, Rolling Stones, AC/DC etc. Some pop, some indie, and everything between. I don't really like any genre. This would be doing music doing a disservice. If I like a song, then I enjoy it. No matter what genre.
