WRUP: All DPS Players are Sharks Edition

It's time for us to share a truth many MMO players don’t yet know that all DPS players can be considered sharks. If you're wondering why so many DPS are prone to the mantra of the holy "GOGOGO," it's because the mere slowdown of an hour means that they'll die. They have to keep killing and swimming. This is what MMOs can do to sharks. Don't ask how a shark is able to type or play the game. Just know that a rogue who will not wait for the tank or the healer, or even the other DPS cannot avoid doing what is happening. He is a shark.



One of the Massively staff members could be a shark, however I cannot confirm or deny it. Perhaps they will reveal his or his identity in this week's WRUP. Perhaps it's simply our usual roundup of our weekend plans. It's not until you've read the following section. However you can let us know by leaving a comment below about what you're up to.



@Beau_Hindman I'm definitely playing more State of Decay. It's a fantastic game and easily is one of my top picks for single-player games of the year. For MMORPGs I'm experimenting with the limits of Minecraft's MMO-ness, I'll be enjoying the latest patch of DC Universe Online, and I'll also be experiencing some action in Neverwinter, which I think is one of the most stunning and sounding MMOs available right now.



@nbrianna It's sure to be enjoyable!



@Eliot_Lefebvre: World of Warcraft is currently playing in my side game slot, and while there are a lot of aspects that I'm still not happy with, I'm enjoying myself. Beyond that, there's going to be more Final Fantasy XIV questing to do and various endgame shenanigans to take part in, so that's my primary concentration.



@Sypster I don't have any big plans for the weekend. I'm currently in the countdown mode for Lord of the Rings Online Helm's Deep. I'm likely to try a few additional scenarios from The Secret World, and perhaps even play some of the World of Warcraft stuff the kids love these days.



@mvmatt: My plans for the weekend include schoolwork, soup and if I'm lucky -- some video games. I'll be playing Warhammer Online, to remind myself why it was abandoned and to remember the amazing things that nearly kept me there, before the servers close next month. Aside from that I'd love to spend some time with Guild Wars 2 and The Secret World which are both games which I've not played for quite some time. Maybe, just maybe, I can stop some of the fools on Battlefield 4.



@MikedotFoster: This weekend I'm looking into the Three Spirits Dota 2 update. I'll also be returning to World of Warcraft, as the Warlords of Draenor announcement has me all excited.



@MJ_Guthrie: I'm planning to concentrate most of my gaming time (and I'll have some regardless I am sick!) trying to do more in the battle against Filth in The Secret World. I am a sucker for that pet and that bee suit so bad that even though I don't think there is any way I'll get enough tokens, I am still going to try! Did I mention I am stubborn? When I'm not playing I'll be playing a scenario or two, and testing new builds. I will also spend the weekend trying to figure out which race to use for my first Channeler in EverQuest II. I've narrowed it down to Ratonga and Kerra. Game blog Then, it will take me only 30 hours to customize the appearance. The name is only the beginning.



@RichieProcopio - This weekend, I'll be intoxicated. No I'm not attending an event at a frat house; I'll be paying the tower of nightmares a visit in Guild Wars 2 and see what Scarlet and her new serpentine allies have been up to in Kessex Hills. Oh, and Hearthstone!
