Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking tourist entry Indicators From the United States
NEW YORK - September 8 2022- New record breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. The country welcomed 78,000 total travelers from the United States in July 2022 that's a 4 percent increase from 2019 and 71,000 travelers from the United States in August 2022 that's an increase of 13% from 2019.

Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner of the United States. He stated, "It's so exciting to witness a further increasing number of tourists visiting Israel from America, which is already reaching or surpassing our record breaking numbers of 2019". "The United States is the top market for Israel inbound tourism. In fact, before the COVID-19 Pandemichit, we were celebrating record-breaking numbers of tourism entry month after month. This is a positive change that we are pleased to witness and expect an upward trend for months to come."

Canada is also on track, like the United States, to surpass the number of tourists who visit Israel. In July 2022 Canada saw 7,200 tourists and August was a record 6,000.

Gal Hana (Consul and Director for Canada, Israel Ministry of Tourism) stated that "it is so exciting to watch how Canada's tourist to Israel is booming." "We aren't too far from our record 2019 numbers, and we are anticipating that this increase in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians continue to feel more confident about traveling internationally."

Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million visitors in the year 2019. 969,600 were from the United States. The country's official reopening for all tourists in May was a success, with more than 600,000.
