The Kerem Tunnel is the first bike tunnel to be constructed in Israel and was inaugurated as part the Jerusalem Ring Path, a 42-kilometer cycling route around Jerusalem, the capital city.

The tunnel runs along the Nahal Refaim-Emek Motza path. The southern entrance is within Refaim Park under Ein Laban. The northern entry, Nahal Ein Kerem, is approximately half a mile away from the Kerem junction.


The 2.1-kilometers-long tunnel was officially opened during a celebration on Thursday , attended by Jerusalem and Heritage Minister Ze'ev Elkin, Mayor Moshe Lion, Gihon water company chairman Avi Baleshnikov and hundreds of cyclists.
