Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry The numbers from the United States
NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. The country received 78,000 total travelers from the United States in July 2022, a 4% increase from 2019 and 71,000 travelers from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from the year before.

Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner. "It is exciting to witness a second increase in tourism Israel from the United States. Already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking figure of 2019," he stated. "The United States is our most popular destination for tourism to Israel and prior to the COVID-19 epidemic, we were celebrating record-breaking tourism entry numbers month after month; We're extremely pleased to witness an improvement in the trend and anticipate a steady upswing for the months and years to come."

Canada is also on track, as the United States, to surpass its tourist arrivals into Israel. In July 2022, Canada received 7,200 visitors and August saw 6,600.
