Neve Paritzki Israel is celebrating record-breaking tourism entry From the USA
NEW YORK - Sep. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ The Israel Ministry of Tourism today released new records for tourist arrivals to Israel from the United States in July and august. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists during July 2022. This was a 4 percent increase from 2019, while 71,000 American tourists visited Israel in August 2022.

Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. "It is exciting to see a new rise in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking figure of the year 2019," he stated. "The United States is our number one market for inbound tourism for Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we had record numbers of Israeli tourists entering Israel every month. We are extremely happy to witness such a positive shift, and we expect this trend to last throughout the months and years to come."

Canada, not too far behind the United States of America, is on track for surpassing the tourist numbers to Israel. The country had 7,200 visitors in July 2022, and 6,000 visitors in August.

Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada in the Israel Ministry of Tourism. We're close to reaching our record numbers for 2019 and we expect that this surge in tourism to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians are more comfortable at home in Israel.

In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists from around the world including 969,600 from the United States, and since its official reopening for all travelers regardless of the status of their vaccination in May of this year The country has witnessed over 600,400 US travelers.
