Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking entry into tourism Numbers from the United States
NEW YORK - September 8 2022Record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. The country welcomed 78,000 travelers from the United States in July 2022 that's a 4 percent increase from 2019 and 71,000 travelers from the United States in August 2022 that's an increase of 13% from the year before.

Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. He stated, "It's so exciting to witness a further rise in tourism to Israel from America, already exceeding or even surpassing our record breaking numbers of 2019". "The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Prior to the COVID-19 epidemic there was a record-breaking number of monthly numbers of tourists entering the country. We are delighted to witness this change and anticipate an upward trend that will continue for months, and possibly years.

Just like in the United States, Canada is also on track to exceed its tourism numbers in Israel with 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 and 6,000 in August.

"It is thrilling to see how Canada's tourism to Israel is booming," said Gal Hana, Consul and Director for Canada of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. We are getting close to our record-setting numbers for the year 2019 and we expect that this increase in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians feel more at ease in Israel.

Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists from abroad in the year 2019, with 969.600 of them coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all visitors, regardless whether they have been vaccination-free. נווה פריצקי The country has already hosted over 600,000.
