NEW YORK - Sep. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ - The Israel Ministry of Tourism today released new records for the number of tourists coming in Israel from the United States in July and August. The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States in July 2022 which is an increase of 4% from 2019, and 71,000 total travelers from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from 2019.
Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. "The United States remains our largest market for Israel-bound tourism. Before the COVID-19 outbreak there was a record-breaking number of tourism numbers each month. We are thrilled to see this positive shift and anticipate a steady upward trend for months and even years.
Canada is home to 7,200 tourists in July 2022 and 6,000 in August, isn't too far behind the United States.

Israel has hosted more than 4.6million visitors in the year 2019 of which 969,600 originated from the United States. Since May when the country was opened to all visitors regardless of vaccination status, more than 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
