Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking tourism entry Counts from the United States
NEW YORK - September 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- New record breaking tourist arrivals to the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States for July 2022. This represents a 4 percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This is an increase of 13% from the year before.

Already surpassing our record-breaking figures for 2019, he added. "The United States is our number one market for travel to Israel, and before the COVID-19 pandemic was announced, we had record-breaking tourist numbers every month. We're extremely pleased to witness such a positive shift and we anticipate an increase in the coming years and months to be."

Canada is set to surpass Israel's arrivals in tourist numbers 7200 tourists are expected to visit Israel in July 2022, and 6,600 in August.

Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism stated that "it's amazing to see how Canada’s tourism is rebounding." "We are not too far away from our record for 2019 and we are anticipating that the increase in travel to Israel will continue to grow because Canadians feel more confident traveling across the globe."

Israel received more tourists from all over the world during the year 2019 than any other nation. 969 600 were American. Israel's official reopening for all tourists was in May of 2018. The country has welcomed over 600,400 US travellers since that time.
