NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/ Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism has announced record-breaking figures of visitors from the United States who visited Israel during the months of July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 visitors from the United States for July 2022. This is a 4 percent increase over the year before, and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This is a 13% improvement from 2019.
"It is so exciting to once again see an rise in the number of tourists visiting Israel from the United States, already reaching the record-breaking levels in 2019," said Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. נווה פריצקי "The United States remains our most important market for Israel-bound tourism. Before the COVID-19 outbreak there was a record-breaking number of monthly numbers of tourists entering the country. We are delighted to see this positive shift and anticipate an ongoing upward trend for months and even years.
Canada is set to surpass Israel's arrivals in tourist numbers by attracting 7,200 tourists to Israel in the month of July 2022 and 6,600 in August.

Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists in the year of 2019. 969,600 came of the United States. The country's officially reopening to travelers in May was a success, with more than 600,000.
