Neve Paritzki Israel is celebrating record-breaking tourism entry From the USA
NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022/PRNewswire/ -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This represents a 4 percent increase over the year before, and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% higher than in the year 2019.

"It is so thrilling to witness a new increase in tourism to Israel from the United States, already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking numbers for the year 2019," stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States is the leading market for Israel inbound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 Pandemichit, we had record-breaking numbers of tourists entering the country every month. It's a fantastic positive change that we are very happy about and expect an upward trend for years to follow."

Canada is poised to surpass Israel's arrivals in tourist numbers by attracting 7,200 tourists to Israel in the month of July 2022 and 6,600 tourists in August.

We are still not away from our record-setting numbers for 2019, and we anticipate that this increase in Israel travel will continue to increase as Canadians are more comfortable traveling internationally."

In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists, 969,600 of them coming from the United States, and since its official reopening for any traveler regardless of vaccination status in May of this year Israel has witnessed over 600,400 US tourists.
