NEW YORK - September 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- New record breaking tourist arrivals to the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. 78,000 visitors from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a 4% increase over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% higher than in the year 2019.
Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner. "It is exciting to witness a second increase in tourism Israel from the United States. Already reaching the record-breaking numbers of 2019," he stated. "The United States has been the most important source of tourism for Israel inbound. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 we had record numbers of Israel's tourism entry each month.
Just like in the United States, Canada is in the process of surpassing the number of tourists visiting Israel with 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 and 6,000 in August.

Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million international visitors in 2019 including 969.600 coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all travelers, regardless whether they have been immunized. It has already hosted over 600,000.
