NEW YORK - September 8 2022, /PRNewswire/new record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. נווה פריצקי Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States for July 2022. This is a 4% rise over 2019, and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This is an increase of 13% from 2019.
Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. "It is exciting to once again witness an growth in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching the record-breaking numbers of 2019," he stated. "The United States has been the most important market for Israel's tourism inbound. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak we were celebrating record numbers of Israel's tourism entry each month.
Canada is poised to surpass Israel's tourist arrivals by attracting 7,200 tourists to Israel in the month of July 2022 and 6,600 in August.
Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada within the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are not too far away from our record-setting numbers in 2019 and we anticipate that this increase in the number of travelers to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians continue to feel more at ease traveling internationally."
In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million global tourists, 969,600 of them coming from the United States, and since the country's official opening to any traveler regardless of the status of their vaccination in May this year Israel has seen over 600,400 US visitors.
