Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry From the USA
NEW YORK - Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism has announced record-breaking figures of tourists from the United States who visited Israel in the months of July and August. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a 4 percentage increase over 2019, and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than 2019.

Already reaching the record-breaking numbers in 2019," he stated. "The United States is our number one market for travel to Israel prior to the COVID-19 epidemic that was sweeping the world, we were celebrating record-breaking tourist numbers every month. We're extremely pleased to witness this positive change and anticipate a steady upswing for the years and months to be."

Canada, not too far from that of the United States of America, is on track for surpassing its tourist arrivals to Israel. It reached 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 and 6,000 in tourists in August.

Israel received more tourists from all over the world during the year 2019 than any other nation. 969 600 were American. Israel's official reopening to all tourists was in May of 2018. The country has already received more than 600,400 US tourists since the time of opening.
