Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry The numbers from the United States
NEW YORK - September 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -new record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States for July 2022. This is a 4 percent increase over the year before, and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This is an increase of 13% from the year before.

Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner. He said, "It's so exciting to again see an increase of tourism to Israel from the United States, and already in the process of surpassing or exceeding the record-breaking numbers we saw in 2019". "The United States is our top market for inbound tourism to Israel, and before the COVID-19 epidemic was announced, we had record-breaking tourist numbers each month. We're extremely pleased to witness an improvement in the trend and we anticipate an increase in the coming many months and years to come."

Canada, not too far from the United States of America, is set to beat the tourist numbers to Israel. The country had 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6,000 in visitors in August.

Gal Hana (Consul and Director for Canada, Israel Ministry of Tourism) stated that "it is exciting to observe how Canada's travel to Israel is rebounding." "We are not too far away from our record for 2019 and we expect that the growth in travels to Israel will continue to grow because Canadians feel more confident traveling internationally."


Israel welcomed over 4.6 million tourists in the year of 2019. 969,600 of them were of the United States. The country's official reopening for all tourists in May has seen more than 600,000.
