NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022/PRNewswire-- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 Americans in July 2022. It was a four percent increase from 2019 seven thousand tourists from America were in Israel during August 2022.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was exciting to see the growth in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019 he stated. "The United States is our number one market for inbound tourism for Israel. https://nevefrietzki.co.il/ Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw record-breaking numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel every month. We are so happy to witness an improvement in the trend and expect this trend to last throughout the months and years to come."
Canada is home to 7,200 tourists in July 2022 and 6,000 in August isn't far from the United States.
Gal Hana, Consul to Canada and Director of Canada at the Israel Ministry of Tourism stated that it was exciting to see Canada's tourism to Israel rebounding. We are close to our record numbers for 2019 and we expect that this surge in tourism to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians are more comfortable at home in Israel.
In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million global tourists, 969,600 of them coming from the United States, and since the country's official opening to everyone regardless of their vaccination status in May of this year Israel has received more than 600,400 US visitors.
