NEW YORK - Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ - Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States who visited Israel during the months of July and August. 78,000 visitors from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This represents a 4 percentage increase over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% higher than in the year 2019.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was exciting to see the growth in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019 he stated. "The United States has been our largest market for Israel's tourism inbound. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak we were celebrating record figures of the number of tourists entering Israel each month.
Canada with 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6,000 tourists in August, isn't far from the United States.
Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism declared that "it's amazing to see how tourism in Canada is recovering." "We are near our record numbers for the year 2019. We expect that this increase will continue to grow as Canadians are more active in traveling abroad.
