Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Break Tourism Entry The Numbers Come from the United States
NEW YORK - September 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- New record breaking tourist arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. The country welcomed 78,000 travelers from the United States in July 2022 that's a 4 percent increase from 2019 and 71,000 travelers from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from 2019.

Prior to the COVID-19 Pandemichit, we had record-breaking numbers of tourists entering the country month after month. Canada is set to surpass Israel's arrivals in tourist numbers 7200 tourists are expected to visit Israel in the month of July 2022 and 6,600 tourists in August.

Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada within the Israel Ministry of Tourism. We're still not far away from our record numbers for 2019, and we anticipate that this surge in Israel travel will continue to grow as Canadians are more comfortable traveling internationally."

In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists including 969,600 from the United States, and since its official reopening to any traveler regardless of the status of their vaccination in May The country has seen over 600,400 US travelers.
