Technoblade, 'Minecraft' YouTube Creator, Dies Aged 23

Technoblade Techblade, the most popular Minecraft YouTuber, has passed away aged 23 following a battle with cancer.



The father of the creator uploaded an animated video on YouTube on Thursday that was titled "so long nerds" with a message written by Technoblade himself. The video was conceived with his family over his final months, but it was written by Technoblade around eight hours before he died according to his father. In the message the rapper revealed his real name: Alex.



"Hello everyone, Technoblade here. If you're watching this. He wrote, "I am dead," in the message that was read by his father. "Thank you to all who have supported my content throughout the years. If I had another 100 lives, I think I would choose to be Technoblade over and over again as those were the happiest years of my life."



In the video, his father said, "He was the most amazing kid anyone could wish for. Technoblade is my favorite.



Technoblade, who has 10.8 million followers on YouTube has announced his cancer diagnosis on the platform in August 2021.



Technoblade's family released a statement at the end of the video on Thursday.



"We, the Technoblade family wanted you to know how much he loved and respected his fans and colleagues." Minecraft servers Technoblade was an online community from its beginnings. He was always looking for ways to delight and honor his followers," it said.



"Even after his eventual successes he somehow managed to keep his good-natured humility, competing with an endearing balance between self-confidence and self-deprecation with. He worked hard to keep his identity secret and avoided celebrity. We ask that you honor his wishes to keep his privacy and that of his family.



Technoblade's online store also includes an article that pays tribute to his memory, stating that a portion of the proceeds from online orders will be donated to the Sarcoma Foundation of America. "This online store is managed by the Technoblade family. We are thankful for the joy he has brought over the years, and we hope to continue spreading his message," it says.



A black T-shirt is one of the items in the store. It is adorned with the words "so long geeks" under the design.



Technoblade's fans and friends have also shared touching tributes to him online. Some are fellow creators with whom Technoblade collaborate with others, while others have been watching the YouTuber for several years.



Hypixel, one of the Minecraft server for minigames, also uploaded an eloquent tribute. He was a frequent participant on that server. Simon Collins-Laflamme, who was the founder and CEO of Technoblade, said in an announcement that Technoblade was "one of the most adored YouTubers."



The post said, "He will be remembered in a way, but we will miss him deeply." "He was a kind, talented, passionate young man with a lot of potential. We are so grateful to him and are happy to be able to count him as a prominent member of the larger community. Technoblade's family was also urged to pay tribute to "any mainlobby" on the server.



Technoblade created his channel in 2013 and quickly gained recognition. Technoblade was dubbed "one the top Minecraft players in the content creator space".
