NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today new record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists during July 2022. נווה פריצקי This was a 4 percent increase over the year before, while 71,000 American tourists were in Israel during August 2022.
"It is so exciting to witness a new rise in the number of tourists visiting Israel from the United States, already reaching the record-breaking levels in 2019." said Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States has been our most important market for Israel's tourism inbound. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 we had record figures of the number of tourists entering Israel each month.
Canada is poised to surpass Israel's arrivals in tourist numbers, with 7,200 tourists visiting Israel in July 2022 and 6,600 tourists in August.
Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada in the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are not far from our record in 2019, and we anticipate that the increase in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians are more comfortable traveling abroad."
Israel received more than 4.6 million visitors in the year 2019. 969,600 came of the United States. The country's official reopening for all tourists in May was a success, with more than 600,000.
