Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry From the United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- In July and August 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism recorded record numbers of tourists arriving from America. Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States for July 2022. This represents a 4 percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This represents a 13% improvement from 2019.

Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. "The United States is our most important market for Israel's inbound tourism. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we had record-breaking numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel every month. We are thrilled to witness an improvement in the trend and expect it to continue for a long time."

Canada is set to surpass Israel's arrivals in tourist numbers by attracting 7,200 tourists to Israel in July 2022, and 6,600 tourists in August.

"It is exciting to see how Canada's tourism to Israel is growing," said Gal Hana Director and Consul for Canada for the Israel Ministry of Tourism. We are getting close to our record-setting numbers for the year 2019, and we are anticipating that this growth in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians feel more at home abroad.

Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million visitors in the year 2019. 969,600 came of the United States. The country's official reopening for all tourists in May was a success, with more than 600,000.
