Neve Paritzki Israel Reliably Breaks Records in Tourism Entry Numbers United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswirein July and August of 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record numbers of tourists arriving from the United States. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States for July 2022. This represents a 4% rise over 2019, and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This is an increase of 13% from the year before.


Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) said it was exciting to observe a rise in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019 he stated. "The United States is our top market for inbound tourism for Israel. Before the COVID-19 pandemic we saw record-breaking numbers of Israeli tourists entering Israel every month. We are extremely happy to see this positive change, and we expect this trend to last for many months and years."

Canada is not far from that of the United States of America, is on track for surpassing its tourist arrivals to Israel. It reached 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 as well as 6,000 visitors in August.

Gal Hana, Consul to Canada and Director for Canada at the Israel Ministry of Tourism stated that it was thrilling to see tourism from Canada to Israel rebounding. We are close to our record-setting numbers for the year 2019, and we are anticipating that this surge in tourism to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians feel more at home abroad.

נווה פריצקי Israel received more than 4.6 million international tourists in 2019 and this included 969.600 of them coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all visitors, regardless if they are vaccination-free. It has already hosted more than 600,000.
