Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking entry into tourism From the United States
NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022/PRNewswire/ -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists in July 2022. This was a 4 percent increase over the year before seven thousand tourists from America visited Israel in August 2022.

Already reaching the record-breaking numbers of 2019," he stated. "The United States is the most popular destination for Israel inbound tourism. Actually, prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we were celebrating record-breaking numbers of tourists entering the country month after month. This is a positive shift that we are very happy about and anticipate an increase in the months to come."

Canada is in the process, like the United States, to surpass the amount of tourists that visit Israel. In July 2022, Canada saw 7,200 tourists and August saw 6,000.

"We aren't far off our record 2019, and we anticipate that the increase in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians feel more confident about traveling abroad."

Israel welcomed more that 4.6 million international visitors in 2019 including 969.600 being from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all travelers, regardless if they are immunized. It has already hosted over 600,000.
